[ There's nothing that stands out about them by touch, but they're easy enough to identify. But while he's touching things, the girl from outside has come in. ] Oh! —Oh! I didn't know... Isuzu-san has guests... but... I thought men weren't allowed! [ She's very flustered. ]

. . . my apologies, I seem to have lost my way.

[marezydoats]

Oh! N-no, it's okay! If you're a friend of Isuzu-sans...! I mean! [ The girl takes a moment to breath deeply and collect herself. ] Please don't leave, I don't think she gets many visitors.

[pashupata]

She's pretty lonely, isn't she.

[marezydoats]

[ The girl makes a sound of agreement. ] I think so, though she doesn't like to admit it out loud.

[pashupata]

You don't happen to have any advice, do you? I have difficulty supporting her.

[marezydoats]

Advice? Um...! Isuzu-san is... difficult and stubborn, but all she really wants is for someone to be there for her sometimes, even if they can't say or do anything. She just needs someone to care, I think. Um... Though I don't know if that's what you're looking for.

[pashupata]

Sometimes just being there for someone isn't enough.

[marezydoats]

[ Tohru shakes her head. ] No, it isn't... But Isuzu-san is very determined to stand on her own two feet as much as she can.

[pashupata]

That seems like a detriment.

[marezydoats]

Do you think so...? [ Tohru looks at her hands. ] She pushes herself too hard, and that's definitely bad. But she tries so hard... I can't help but admire her, even a little.

[pashupata]

Effort doesn't mean much in the end if you run yourself into the ground.

[marezydoats]

No, that's true... Though I don't know how to convince her to reach out for support, either. I think she might be happier if she could learn how to stop trying to carry the whole burden on her own feet, letting it kill her rather than seeking out others.

[pashupata]

Do you think she'll ever learn? I'm not good at this kind of thing at all.

[marezydoats]

Mmm! She's not incapable of learning, though it might be a struggle... I don't think anyone could blame you if it was too much of one.

Even still... [ Tohru sighs. ] I keep thinking, "If I'm her friend, maybe it will help..!" I'll try to support her in my own way, as long as it doesn't hurt her.

. . . that's not enough from me. It's too bad you can't support her here, though I imagine it's better in the end. Thank you for answering, however.

[marezydoats]

Hmm? I think she'd react badly if anyone from home was where you all are. Her circumstances are quite different from the rest of us.

[pashupata]

Yes, I agree. She could use more support, however.

[ sighs ]

I'm not sure I should intrude further.

I think... If it's not too hard, that "Sakura" has the potential to be that support, if she can learn to trust you all. [ Tohru looks at Arjuna. ] Are you leaving, then...?

[pashupata]

. . . I can't. Maybe, we can't even.

[ looks away but, to be friendly, does try to offer a polite smile as well ]

Wouldn't she prefer I not invade her privacy?

[marezydoats]

Of course she would. But is that what's best for her? She does want to be friends, at least, I think. She just doesn't know how.

Whenever I push her it doesn't go well, so I think I should stop.
