[ Well, Elaine wanted to find Akito... A slim young man wearing a yukata stands before you. His hair is short, dark— though his expression is darker still, a mask of still anger. ] You shouldn't play with other people's things, you know. It's rude.

In that case, this box now belongs to me.

[ Akito stares impassively at Elaine for a moment. Then he reaches over to slap her. ]

[ slapped, easily. she doesn't put up much of a fight; even if she wanted to she couldn't, really. she reaches to clutch at her cheek, bright with burst blood vessels, and just stares up. ]

You don't seem to understand how this works. The box is mine. I've already locked up that foolish girl for trying to steal it, and the likes of you isn't going to take it from me, either.

If you feel that I may be cowed by such weak tactics, it seems you're somewhat mistaken. This is hardly behavior befitting the head of a family; am I not a guest in this house?

A thief who tries to steal my things is hardly worthy of being called "guest." You should examine your privilege.

I had no intention of committing any theft. This room was the one in which I arrived, I - allowing myself to be overcome by my curiosity - sought to examine it.

[marezydoats]

A likely excuse. [ He absolutely doesn't believe her. :D ]

I suppose that you would think so.

Regardless, Mr Akito, I've come to see you. If you could spare a moment of your time...

[marezydoats]

Come to see me, have you? [ Akito regards her for a moment, before waving a hand. ] Very well, then; what is it you want?

[unaffective]

I'd like to speak to you. That's all; is there some room of this house better suited to proper conversation?

[marezydoats]

I have a sitting room, we will go there instead. [ With that, Akito turns abruptly on his heel and walks towards the door. He glances back to make sure she's following— without his box in tow. ]

[ she is leaving her box where it belongs and following close behind, quietly, just taking in her surroundings. ]

[marezydoats]

[ Bitch, that is Akito's box, and he will fuck you up for it. He walks down the hallway. It's a very nice traditionally-styled Japanese house.... though a rather large one. It's not a long walk to get to the room he's looking for, and Akito stands by the door. ] After you. [ Because he's so generous, you see. ]

It's since been established, however, that I am not a guest here. Would it not be more proper if you were to enter before me?

[marezydoats]

You aren't a guest. You're still going in before me. That, or I'll just have you taken away, but I'm being generous enough to allow you to speak.

[unaffective]

That seems a bit rude. If that is of no interest to you, then perhaps I should take my leave of this place.

[marezydoats]

You seem to have an overly inflated sense of your importance. You mean nothing to me, and anything you have to say is likely to be of little importance. The only thing that really matters is what's mine.

[unaffective]

I was making a joke. It seems the mood in this passage has become unnecessarily strained.

Perhaps we should enter together.

[marezydoats]

Perhaps you should work on your sense of humour. [ ... ] ...After you. [ He's not going to budge on this. ]

That is true. I myself have little interest in humor, but in the interest of appearing more humane I did feel some attempt necessary. My sense for it, however, remains poor.

[marezydoats]

Perhaps you should give it up entirely. You hardly seem suited for it, given how abysmal your attempt was.

[unaffective]

It's a simple matter of finding something capable of allowing me to feel amusement. I'm certain.

Perhaps it is. [ He really doesn't care. ]
